Hey, last weekend was our annual trip to Newark to the AMERICANA show. Bikes, hotrods,bands and beer !! an ideal weekend ??? well you would think so...For the past few years the sun has shone its been glorious.... we set of on the bike with no waterproofs as the sun was out... half way down we got hit in the face with pouring rain and hail... and that pretty much continued all evening and night, put tent up in the rain, had bar b que in the rain, walked around in the rain... good job we were in good company and had beer :) woke up saturday and the weather was fine and sunny, Had a great rest of the weekend, the sun shone and my pants dried...... roll on next year ( note to self...take waterproofs).

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who supported Chelsea, Kaitlin and myself in this years RACE FOR LIFE at temple newsome.

Every year i take part and this year, we all ran the race in memory of my mum, who passed away from cancer in 2009.

Again a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who donated at the studio :)

Hey guys,
INK IRON and HOTROD was a total success by 11.30 am we were full to capacity, it was a great day, unfortunatly the weather turned to rain in the afternoon, but it really didnt spoil the day. A huge thank you and well done to kevlin for sitting for 3 hours to have her forearm tattooed with another dead dolly !!! pics to follow.
So the next big doooo to look forward to is MODS and ROCKERS at piece hall in HALIFAX
6th JULY. This is an annual event that just grows every year, im not tattooing here but i am working n will be buzzing about so please say hi :)

What a lovely month of sunshine we have had, great to see so many of you out and about showing off body art !

Its a great time of year to start on that new tattoo project.

We are well settled in our new studio although we are having phone and internet probs.... bare with us im hoping it will all be settled soon.......

Hi Guys, All of you who visit me at my studio, have realised just how busy we are becoming.... which is a good thing of course... ( dont stop coming !) but to be honest im growing out of home, i even have a drawing board in my bedrom :s So John and i have decide to move ...again... only 700 yards away from where i am now so not far but it just gives me a bit more space. We have taken over the property now and am hoping to re open in a couple of weeks, i will ring everyone already booked in and let you know where your appointment will be. So although the place has changed everything else will be the same..... i will still be slightly mad and un organised, John will be grumpy and hairy and Chelsea will be making the cuppas..... see you all soon Tracie x

it was the best tonic i could have asked for.... although we both feel like we could sleep for a week now!

We have 100 hot rods and over 300 bikes coming on the day, Rock and Rock a Billy bands playing live, burlesque performers, fire eaters, street magicians, face painting, all day tattooing by award winning artists, food, beer etc ......

It promises to be a fantastic day out all the family welcome.

Hey its Christmas time mistletoe and wine ...... and all that jazz!

I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge THANKYOU to everyone who has supported us through this year. We have had a FANTASTIC year, the move was a definate good plan ! and all has worked out great.
Next Year promises to be another good one with loads and loads planned..... tattoo jam, manchester convention, halifax bike show, frontier bike show...... just to name a few.....

I really feel that my plan of world colouration is finally coming together ! today Drighlington,,,,, tommorow the world ! bwaaaahahah.
( oops lost myself a bit there !)

Its my favourite time of year ! i love Halloween and Bonfire night .... Ive got my pumpkins ready to carve and my fancy dress ready for the girls myself and the dogs!! Only John not dressing up but lets face it he doesnt really need to :)

Ive had an exciting invite this week.... from TATTOO JAM a newish tattoo convention in January, its a biggy, a two day event and by invitation only ... yeah me, so i'll keep u informed on that one.

Still keeping busy and trying to do as many canvases as i can as many people are requesting them for xmas prezzies, so bare with me folks im on it ..................

Where has this year gone !!!!
doesnt seem like two minutes ago since we were working at Manchester convention.....March....Moving studios ......March .....Hull convention .....May ... n holidays n charity doos and bammm its September already!

But not to worry the years not over yet and lots more to look forward to, I love Autumn and Winter. Halloween, Bonfire night and of course the dreaded word christmas !!!

But through all of this im here still introducing colour to many peoples lives :)

Had a great weekend at Big D's biker cafe in Halifax on Sunday. Facepainting all day .....
by god arn't kids twitchy! But we enjoyed every minute and raised a lot of money for a special little boy Thomas Leighton.
Well done to Tom ( another Tom !) who raised over £ 100 by been facepainted rather special... then rode at the front with the club to another venue in Baildon with an open face helmet on recieving rather a few funny looks......
But hey ho all in the name of charity, us tattooed and biker folk are actually nice people you know :)

Just to let you know also, i will be closed wednesday and thursday this week, its the anniversary of my Dads death and we are spending a couple of days together. But back to work Friday as normal.

We are back to sunny Yorkshire !

Yesterday was HALIFAX MODS and ROCKERS show at Piece Hall.
The sun shone and we had a great day,
i was supposed to be tattooing.....
but unfortunatly i am a drunken bum n fell over in Spain n knackered my hand in....
so had to give it a miss ! sorry guys....
i promise to stick to vimto from now on !!!!!!
( and those that know me know thats so not gonna happen!)
It was great to see so many of you there, even though i couldnt tattoo the day wasnt a flop i bought shoes! :)

Americana and holidays .....

Hi Guys,
We spent last weekend at AMERICANA show in NEWARK. We had a fantastic weekend. Americana is a yearly show, and if you can ever make it i would totally reccommend going. There are bikes, beer, hotrods, beer, trucks, beer, 3 stages of bands oh n beer!!! :)
The only problem we had was our airbed went down... n john and i slept on the floor all night ! but i think by this time we were passed caring !
and the barbequed bacon sandwiches sunday morning made up for the uncomfortable night! ( thanks to BIG D and the guys of Calder Valley MC ).

Our studio will
close on 17th July and re open on Tuesday 10th July.

But dont forget on Sunday 8th August i will be working at

HALIFAX PIECE HALL, at the

MODS N ROCKERS BIKESHOW.

such a long time .......

Its been such a long time since i updated......i am sorry, but in my defense ive only not done it as im working lots n lots !!!!

The private studio is fantastic, im loving that everyone who visits us are well impressed with our new set up.

Ive got some great, big pieces on going at the moment and loving every minute of it.
Its amazing that even after working in studios for 15 years i still get that excited buzz of starting a new piece on someone.... i feel very lucky to do something i love everyday.
Anyway enough of the gushy stuff!!!!

The studio will close on saturday 17th july for 3 weeks ( just a thankyou to Bob and Sharon for looking after our house !!) (oooh n Kev and Joe for looking after my baby x) thanks guys xx

On the 8th August I will be tattooing at :
BIG D'S 2ND MODS AND ROCKERS BIKE AND SCOOTER SHOW
10am till 6pm Piece hall. Halifax.
It promises to be a fantastic day with Djs, bands, food n beer, bike shows and competitions.....

Hi Guys,
Had a fantastic fun filled weekend at Hull !! a big WELL DONE to Gav for sitting for his x-men tattoo for 5 hours 30 mins ! Although it did drain him ..... fell asleep in the car on the way home !! light weight hahaha. ( i have pics to upload Gav ! )
Loads of people turned up at Hull to say Hello, it was good to see you all, n Tony its always good to get one of your hugs x
I have to comment on the fact that my friend Fiona had a dress on !!!! this wont mean a lot to most of you but believe me its a major miracle, dont think ive seen her in one since we were about 4 ! You looked the bomb hun x

You can buy your entrance tickets on line thru the manchester 2010 tattoo convention website or pay on the door, but be prepared to queue!

It should be a fantastic weekend for all... n dont forget my birthday cards on sunday 7th march at manchester convention ! there will be a piece of cake for everyone

Glad to see that the bad weather hasn't stopped everyone from calling in this week. Weve had a busy week, and started some new BIG pieces....

I had a young lady in this week Paula, and i have to give her my hero award! she had her ribs and tummy tattoo outlined for 2 hours and never flinched.... my god girlie you are some tuff nut !

We managed to take Mik Crones geezer bird ( old tattoo ) he had tattooed on his arm and make her look pretty again.... I think we succeeded as Mik was trying to lick her in the studio !

And i have to make a comment on Mr Leak.... John we love you dearly but mate you have to stop taking those pain killers for your neck :) you never stopped talking !
too much caffiene we think :)

A new week ...

Hi Guys,

We got beat this week.... by the bloody ice, just one day. Friday found me spinning in a circle in the middle of the road and ending up in a heap! After a few tears and lots of bad language i abandonded the car and walked home! So i do apologise to Fridays appointments, and thankyou for all re booking!

Apart from that.... it's been a good week, Tonys back piece is finished and will make its appearance at Manchester convention ( pics to follow!) . I hope it wont be the last we see of you Tony x.

Well first week back at work and we've been blessed with the white stuff..... but we did manage to get in everyday and i really do appreciate everyone making the effort to slip in !!!!

Right now for the main event .......
I am working MANCHESTER CONVENTION 6th - 7th MARCH.
It will be my 40th birthday on the Sunday so we are having a party and working in fancy dress..... if you want to join us the theme is
THE LUNATICS HAVE TAKEN OVER THE ASYLUM...
We would love to see you and partake in a beverage ... or 3 !

COMPETITION....

I am already booked up at MANCHESTER CONVENTION all day Sunday and part of Saturday so we decided to give you the chance to win my first 3 hr slot on Saturday......

In the studio we have raffle tickets on sale at £ 10 each. from tuesday 12th january

The prize is either : 3 hours on work already started in the studio,
or any flash design in the studio up to £ 150.

This will be done at the convention on 6th march.
We will also provide you with an entrance ticket. ( you will have to arrange your own travel ).

I must stress you must be happy to be tattooed in front of a crowd! and possibly photographed..
The prize will be drawn the third week in february, results published in the studio, on the website and on our facebook group....

I know its been a while, but just to let you all know, we are still here and keeping busy.

We have now printed our 2009 Christmas and Body piercing vouchers, an excellent idea for that special colourfull person in your life !

We are also now selling our BAD TASTE BEARS and TURDS at 50% off
( 2 for the price of 1 !!)

Our T shirts and hoodies are selling well, we now have plenty in stock of all sizes, and our new addition....... children, toddler and baby T shirts ( very cute !! ).

I will add our Christmas opening hours nearer December.

I have had the BEST weekend ever, John and I went to TATTOO JAM in Doncaster this weekend, i have been going to tattoo conventions for over 10 years, but this...... this was something different ! I met and talked to all my favourite artists from America and the Uk and watching them work was totally amazing. Check out my pics with these great tattoo artists i was totally star struck!

We are back from sunny spain, we had a great time and are all refreshed and ready to go....
The studio is open as usual this week, with Kevlin.
John, Danny and myself will be back to work next week as we are at TATTOO JAM in Doncaster all weekend.

Kevlins arm, Danny's calf and Deans calf which was done on the day.

I know i've not updated for a while, but we've not disappeared, just been really busy at the studio and at various shows and conventions.

Just to let you know we are open as usual this week late thurs fri, then at 5 pm ( exactly ) on saturday we close for our summer jollies !!! For 2 weeks.

Kevlin will be back in the studio on the 6th August to make appointments and do piercings and John and i are back to work on the 11th August, as we are at TATTOO JAM the weekend we return from Spain.

Unfortunatly our UK fight team lost in America to France, but the guys still deserve a huge pat on the back, Ian came home minus a few teeth ! but other than that all are ok. They will be fighting in the UK in September against Spain, I will keep you updated with event news as soon as i have it.

Started some cool pieces this week, Kyle, i wont forget to mention you...... and your superman inspired sleeve, apparently " sweet " ! ( pics to follow )

Tattooed another pit bull id number today at Croft house vets, thank you to the staff for been so accomodating, hope to see you at the studio soon for your foot tattoo......

We are open now late nights thursday till 8pm and friday till 7pm, so hopefully that will help with the waiting for appointments, but don't forget its worth the wait !

Well.... a fun and very successful tattoo convention.
Thank you to everyone who came and supported us.
And the biggest thank you to Dean for sitting very still ( without a beer ! ) for 5 hours and having his calf tattooed.
We entered the piece for best colour and came 2nd so well pleased.
My first convention and first competition, so that ended our day on a total high !

We met a lot of lovely people, who i hope will call into the studio at some time, and all in all a great day.

We have had a fantastically busy week and started some great new tattoo projects. A few tattoo virgins in this week too and all did really well, Sarah i am very impressed 2 hours on your ribs..... first tattoo.... tougher than me mrs !!

We now have our no regrets t shirts in the studio now. They are very cool ( even tho i say so myself!) ( pics to follow ).

Also a reminder that it is Hull convention next sunday 24th may at Hull city Hall from 11 am.We are all going down and I am tattooing all day so if anyone wants to come and join us it will be good to see you.

It is still me and John tattooing, Kevlin body piercing and Danny Boy been a pain ! but all with a new name.

Ian Butlin....

........ At MARKED FOR LIFE we sponser cage fighter IAN BUTLIN. For those of you who are regularly in the studio, you will have seen the pictures of him on the wall.

Ian is part of the UK fight team fighting in Japan. Ian and his brother Dave flew out to Japan on Saturday and Ian will be fighting today. We all wish you the best of luck Ian " kick some butt!"

The fight will be broadcast live on the web about 11 am check it out on Fight TV cage warriors.

The studio is back to regular opening hours now, we have sorted out our water problems :)

We have our MARKED FOR LIFE t shirts and vests in the studio now, we will also be stocking NO REGRETS Tattoo clothing very soon, so keep checking in to see the very latest styles ...

Just wanted to let you know too, we have new stock of "skin divers", so all those who have been in for these fantastic piercings, call back in and we will be happy to stick a hole in you !

Lastly a reminder that all BAD TASTE BEARS and TURDS are all 50% off, we wont be stocking them for much longer so grab them while you can.

Oh ......and tickets for HULL CONVENTION can only be ordered in advance from the venue, or you can pay on the door. If you want to call in for more information thats great i have posters and flyers.

I have recently been made aware that there is a local tattoo studio opened, saying that he has trained with us.

I just want to make it very clear that we have NO association with any other tattoo studio or the training of any other artist.

He is clearly lying out of his BIG FAT HAIRY ASS!!! and i am NOT impressed.

so now thats cleared up......

A wet week

We have had a flood at the studio.
Think our fishies had a party and didnt clear up !!!!!

We are all ok just rather damp!
This means unfortunatly we cannot open till tuesday next week 21st april.

I am sorry to everyone who had appointments booked for friday or saturday i cannot switch the computor on for your numbers! Please contact us next week and we will do our best to get you back in asap.

strange but true .....

Well, today so far has been a rather odd day...... ive just been to calder vets in dewsbury to tattoo an id number on a pit bull.
Kevlin recieved a call last week whilst i was away from west yorkshire police asking if we would tattoo dogs!! obviously kevlin thought this was a wind up and told him so ! but no it was a genuine call, apparently this pit bull has cleared all tests and is a legal pit bull, and if she didnt get an id tattoo on her leg she would be put to sleep, well those of you who know me know i couldnt let that happen! so off i go this morning to tattoo my first dog! it was sedated but it was a bit nerve wracking! i loved it ....... and im now listed to tattoo for the police should anymore dogs turn up. How cool is that !!? :)

We flew back from Spain yesterday, and straight back to it today. Good to be back, ( not really!!)

Its now been confirmed, I will be tattooing at HULL TATTOO CONVENTION 24th MAY. Hi all,
Just to let you know i go away to my dads in spain for a few days, the studio will be open as usual with Kevlin and Danny Boy.

Dan's birthday at the weekend, we bought him a drinking hat..... but found out he's a light weight! more training needed me thinks :) He only managed a pint and half and was all flushed.... so obviously we had to help him out. ( we've had plenty of practise)

So off to sunny ( hopefully ) spain i go, see you when i get back.

keeping busy......

Im glad to say the studio is keeping very busy, which means unfortunatly you have to wait a bit longer for appointments, but thats a good thing surely ? and lets face it, it's worth waiting for !

We are now opening extra hours to help with appointment waiting, im now working late every friday and all day wednesday instead of half day.

We had a giddy red nose day, thank you to all that took the plunch and posed for pics!!!!

( sorry Tony, i know you weren't happy!!)

Danny boys 19th birthday next week, so saturday evening sees us in the pub at beer o'clock, all welcome as usual!

Just another day at the studio....

We have new blood in the studio ! our pet fishies, Shabba and Baba-Tash. They live in a pineapple under the sea ( all will make sense when you see them ! ).

Other than that another busy week, Dean started his full front chest/ stomach piece, straight across both nipples OUCH!!!! and Joe finished his chest piece..... What next Joe ??

Looking forward to this week.... its my Birthday !!!! on saturday .... yea me !

This week i had a visit from a young man who showed me a tattoo done on his forearm by a

" tattooartist " i use this term loosely !

I can assure you as i assured him.... 2 coats of red will NOT cover this black tattoo!

( believe it or not he was told it would !!!!)

Please check out your tattooist before you go, there are many very good artists in our area make sure you find one !

To say we have had a mad week, would be an understatement!!!!

Next week we have a new member of the crew joining MARKED for LIFE, he will be in the studio from WED 25th Feb and i'll update pics om web soon after.

THE HAWK !

For those of you that have been in to the studio recently, you will have seen ( or heard me talk about ) my new machine.... THE HAWK .... i love it !
It is almost silent and by all accounts a good deal less painfull ! which has to be good.

We are closed mon tues wed, this next week due to school holidays and my hubbie, disappearing off to scotland for a few days training to kick more ass!!!!. But we will be back to normal opening hours next week.

Snow !!!

Unfortunatly, i lost one days work due to snow this week, but dont worry we'll make up for it!
We've sent in some pics to SKIN DEEP and TOTAL TATTOO this week, so you may find your body parts famous, i'll let you know when they get published, also got some pics on BME.
While we waited for the snow to stop, we wrapped Kevlins head in clingfilm ! ( well she let me !!) and took pictures they have gone to BIZZARE magazine so look out for those too !!!!

Danny " pot Noodle " did his first tattoo saturday, Thanks Bob. Danny did really well after shaking like a jelly for about an hour first and lots of toilet breaks!! haha.
Completed another two sleeves this week, Stu and Dean, thanks guys hope to see you both again soon in the near future, pics will go on later today.
